Dr. Hossam Allam

International Expert – Director of Sustainable Growth Programme

Dr. Hossam Allam is the Director of Sustainable Growth Programme, at the “Center for Environment and Development for the Arab Region and Europe” (CEDARE), International Diplomatic organization based in Egypt. CEDARE has been established upon a request by the Ministers responsible for the environment in the League of Arab states. Dr. Allam is international expert in the field of sustainable development. He received his Ph.D. degree from Plymouth university-UK, MSc degree from university of New Haven-USA, and B.Sc. degree from School of Engineering, Ain Shams university-Egypt.

Dr. Allam has more than 30 years of International, regional, and national experiences in the different fields of sustainable development with the focus of integrating the economic, social, and environmental aspects in designing and implementing projects that enhance the quality of life for the citizens and promote establishing green jobs that lead to investment in natural resources with sustainable manner. Dr. Allam managed national and international projects in different fields such as resource efficiency, solid and electrical wastes management, green economy, circular economy, sustainable transportation, sustainable tourism, energy, and ICT for sustainability. Dr. Allam provided technical assistance to national, international and civil society organizations to enhance their institutional resources and capacities.
