The Centre for Environment and Development for the Arab Region and Europe (CEDARE), in cooperation with the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) and with the support of the UK International Development Programme (UK International Development), is organizing a workshop at the Hilton Green Plaza Hotel in Alexandria on Wednesday, 12 November 2025, titled:
“Al-Murunah Project Sustainability Planning Workshop.”
The workshop applied the Sustainability Analysis Matrix—covering resources, motivation, capacity, and linkages—to identify key outcomes, services, and behaviors that must be sustained beyond the project’s duration.
Participants from the Ministry of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Center, Irrigation Advisory Services, cooperatives, the private sector, and local communities collaborated to co-create a national sustainability roadmap, ensuring the continuity and impact of Resilient Nature-Based Water Solutions (RNBWS) implemented in Izbat Al-Hamra, Beheira Governorate.
This joint effort reflects the strong commitment of CEDARE, IWMI, and FCDO to advancing adaptive water governance and sustainable rural development in Egypt
