CEDARE participated in the regional conference titled “Sustainable Entrepreneurship in the Southern Mediterranean: Building Regional Cooperation for a Green Transition,” held in Tunis from 18–19 December 2025, which brought together representatives from Business Support Organizations, public authorities, policymakers, financial institutions, and experts in circular economy and sustainable development from Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Lebanon, Palestine, and Jordan.

CEDARE experts, led by Dr. Hosam Allam, contributed to the conference through a session focusing on supporting policies for sustainable business development in the MENA region.

The conference was organized by MedWaves , the UNEP/MAP Regional Activity Centre for Sustainable Consumption and Production, in collaboration with CITET Tunisie,

The conference aimed to strengthen the capacity of BSOs to promote sustainable consumption and production, share good practices and success stories in circular and sustainable business development, launch discussions for a regional publication on sustainable business support, propose a regional collaboration manifesto on sustainable and circular entrepreneurship, and foster a regional network linking BSOs, policymakers, financial institutions, and entrepreneurs, building on ongoing initiatives such as the Switchers Support Programme (www.theswitchers.org).
