As part of CEDARE’s efforts to implement the Al-Murunah+ Project, in cooperation with the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) and with funding from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), CEDARE – Centre for Environment & Development for the Arab Region & Europe (CEDARE) participated in the Regional Mid-Term Review, held in Amman, Jordan, from 24 to 26 November 2025.
The workshop provided a valuable platform for exchanging experiences with partners from across the region and facilitated discussions on the challenges encountered during project implementation, as well as the approaches adopted to address and overcome them.
CEDARE experts presented the status of project implementation in the pilot area, Izbat Al-Hamra in Beheira Governorate, where a range of activities has been carried out.
The visit also featured a high-level networking meeting hosted by the UK Ambassador to Jordan’UK in Jordan’,During the meeting, the CEDARE team detailed the project’s successful initiatives to advance community-led Nature-based Solutions
Al-Murunah+ is a gender-transformative initiative designed to strengthen family resilience, promote positive gender norms, and support women’s economic empowerment within the pilot community.
