CEDARE – Centre for Environment & Development for the Arab Region & Europe is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Union of OIC Radio and Television Channels, aimed at strengthening cooperation in the fields of environmental media and sustainable development.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Khaled Fahmy, Executive Director of CEDARE and Former Minister of Environment, and Prof. Dr. Amr El-Leithy, President of the Union, in the presence of Mr. Essam El-Amir, Director of the Union’s Cairo Office.
Both parties welcomed this collaboration, which represents an important step toward more impactful media in raising environmental awareness, supporting sustainable development efforts, and finding innovative solutions to address environmental challenges and climate change.
In his remarks on this occasion, Dr. Khaled Fahmy emphasized that this partnership constitutes a qualitative addition that combines CEDARE’s expertise in sustainability with the Union’s influential role in media. He stressed that it will contribute to deepening societies’ awareness of environmental issues, supporting policymakers, and advancing toward a more sustainable future.
This agreement reaffirms the vital role of media in addressing climate change and environmental challenges by disseminating knowledge, simplifying facts, and highlighting possible solutions.
