The Advisory Committee of Al-Murunah project met on 11 February 2025, to review the project’s implementation and its governance mechanism and the workplan for the coming year. The meeting was attended by the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Water resources, Cedare – Centre for Environment & Development for the Arab Region & Europe, International Water Management Institute (IWMI), the British Embassy, the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development and the National Council for Motherhood and Childhood.
Commitee members discussed policy priorities and how Governance of Nature Based Solutions (NBS) can be integrated into strategies and policies. It was emphasized that Al-Murunah with its 2 pillars, (1) Nature based solutions and (2) Inclusive Governance, should be upscaled at the national and regional levels.
