Facilitators’ Training for the Al–Murunah + Project

by CEDARE Team

From October 26–30, 2025, a training workshop was held for facilitators nominated by El Wafaa Community Development Association, CEDARE’s partner NGO in implementing the Economic and Social Empowerment Approach (EASE) for couples in the three project villages.

The training was inaugurated by Dr. Mohamed Tawfik, National Project Coordinator from the International Water Management Institute (IWMI), and technically supervised by Eng. Galal Moawad, Field Operations Manager-CEDARE.

A total of 12 facilitators, 2 supervisors, and the association’s coordinator and M&E officer participated in the training, which was delivered by experts specialized in facilitation, communication, and the EASE approach.

The training included 7 women and 9 men, mostly youth under 30 years old, who demonstrated strong engagement and valuable prior experience in community development — a key factor to enhancing the project’s impact in local communities.
