CEDARE participated in the session “From Local Knowledge to Global Goals: Elevating Rangelands and Pastoralists in the Arab Region”, organized by IUCN Regional Office for West Asia, highlighting traditional and participatory approaches for sustainable rangeland management and climate adaptation.
Represented by Dr. Amr Abdel Meguid, CEDARE presented experiences from the Healthy Ecosystem for Rangeland Development (HERD) Initiative in Egypt and Jordan, emphasizing rangeland governance, biodiversity restoration, and community empowerment as pathways for sustainability in the Arab region.
Through such engagements, CEDARE reaffirms its regional leadership in advancing biodiversity conservation, sustainable resource management, and nature-based solutions across Africa and the Arab region.
