Sahar Mohamed is one of the inspiring women who transformed hardship into opportunity with the support of the Women’s Economic Empowerment Initiative as a part of the activities of Al Murunah Project, funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and implemented in Egypt in collaboration between the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) and the Centre for Environment & Development for the Arab Region & Europe (CEDARE).
From exhausting low-wage work far from home, to running her own small business in a clean and safe space near her family—Sahar’s journey is a powerful example of how empowerment programs can unlock livelihoods, stability, and success.
Her story is a testament to the transformative power of learning, cooperation, and community-driven development.
