The programme's mission is to advance the sustainable management and utilization of land resources by focusing on four key pillars: research, capacity building, policy advocacy, and innovative solutions. These efforts aim to effectively address the pressing challenges of land degradation, urbanization, and climate change.

A multi-stakeholder Programme tackling environmental and developmental challenges through policy support, capacity building, and project implementation across waste management, sustainable cities, climate action, and the circular economy for governmental organizations, NGOs, and private sector.

The programme aims to maximize economic, social, and environmental water use benefits through Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM). It focuses on achieving the 2030 Water SDGs, assessing the state of the water in the Arab region, supporting IWRM strategies, enhancing shared water management, optimizing water resources utilization, and advancing low-cost and water innovative technologies, including desalination and water reuse, water-related climate adaptation, remote sensing, AI, GIS, decision support systems, and the Water-Energy-Food Nexus in sustainable water planning and management.
The Centre for Environment and Development for the Arab Region and Europe (CEDARE) was established in1992 as an international inter-governmental Organization with diplomatic status.
