CEDARE participated in the International Conference on Nature and Genetic Resources Conservation (CNGRC – 2025): Achievements of the 2030 Strategy and Future Insights. The conference was organized by the International Institution for Science and Innovation and Societal Sustainable Development (ISISD) and hosted by King Salman International University from 25 to 27 November 2025 in Sharm El-Sheikh Governorate, Egypt. The event witnessed broad participation from scientists, experts, and decision-makers from Egypt, the Arab region, Africa, and Europe, all actively engaged in environmental conservation, biodiversity protection, and the safeguarding of natural resources.
The conference showcased the latest scientific outcomes, innovations, and technological developments in the conservation of natural resources and environmental wealth, with particular emphasis on plant, animal, and microbial genetic resources. This included the adoption of advanced strategies, such as the establishment of model gene banks utilising modern technologies in genetic studies and genomics, thereby ensuring the preservation of these resources as a critical component of food security.
The sessions also explored contemporary applications in smart agriculture, renewable energy, and the role of artificial intelligence in conserving natural and environmental resources. In addition, the conference addressed challenges related to petroleum pollution, highlighting the latest technologies for its mitigation and other pressing issues within the sector.
Furthermore, analyses were presented emphasising the role of women in agricultural development, including land ownership, participation in sustainable development initiatives, and contributions to raising awareness in nature conservation and environmental protection.
