A coordination meeting was held today, Tuesday, 23 December 2025, between the Centre for Environment and Development for the Arab Region and Europe (CEDARE) and Environmental Horizon Co, with the aim of discussing areas of mutual cooperation and strengthening future partnerships in topics of shared interest.
The meeting covered several key areas related to advancing environmental and developmental initiatives and explored opportunities for collaboration in the implementation of regional programmes and projects. Discussions also addressed potential areas of joint work, including:
• Training and capacity building
• Environmental and climate arbitration
• Adaptation projects, particularly those aligned with National Adaptation Plans (NAPs)
• Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards
• Carbon emissions reporting
The meeting also explored mechanisms to support joint efforts in these fields, contributing to enhanced regional cooperation in developing and implementing environmental and developmental initiatives, as well as providing technical environmental support for investment decisions and institutional strategies.
Both parties affirmed their commitment to strengthening joint work in the upcoming period and expanding into promising new markets. They agreed to continue coordination to develop a detailed action plan for the proposed projects, including training programmes and environmental and climate arbitration activities.
This meeting comes as part of CEDARE’s ongoing efforts to strengthen partnerships with leading institutions and expand cooperation to support sustainable development across the Arab region.
