CEDARE was honored to welcome Mr.Marco Piredda, Senior Vice President and Head of Business Support & Relations with International Organizations at ENI, for a strategic visit and exploratory discussions on potential tripartite cooperation with IRENA.
The visit focused on identifying concrete opportunities for collaboration and exploring a tripartite partnership agreement between CEDARE, ENI, and IRENA—bringing together shared priorities in energy transition, sustainability, and regional development.
Discussions covered ENI’s energy transition strategy, CEDARE’s institutional vision and regional role, and the achievements of the existing IRENA–ENI partnership. The visit also explored prospects for joint cooperation, including a proposed tripartite agreement on institutional capacitation related to Voluntary Carbon Markets (VCM) and Article 6, as well as the potential launch of a Carbon Exchange in Egypt.
This evolving partnership reflects a strong, shared commitment to advancing sustainable solutions and climate action across the region.
