On May 29, 2025, CEDARE participated in the Water and Climate Change session of the Water Scarcity Initiative, presenting “Nature-Based Solutions for Water Security and Food Security in the Face of Climate Change.” The Al-Murunah initiative was highlighted as a case study, showcasing the effectiveness of combining biophysical interventions with inclusive governance.
Building on this momentum, CEDARE and its partner, International Water Management Institute (IWMI), will focus on mainstreaming Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) within national policies through a series of policy dialogues starting in June. The first policy dialogue is scheduled for June 24, 2025
