The Center for Environment and Development for the Arab Region and Europe (CEDARE), in collaboration with the Desert Research Center (DRC), successfully organized a high-level stakeholder workshop as part of the Marcnowa – GMES&Africa projects.
This strategic gathering brought together a distinguished group of experts and decision-makers, including representatives from Libya’s Remote Sensing Center, key Egyptian ministries (Environment, Water Resources, and Agriculture), prominent research institutions, universities, and dynamic private sector partners.
The workshop highlighted the transformative role of Earth Observation data in supporting evidence-based decision-making and policy development for the sustainable management of water resources, natural ecosystems, and coastal zones across North and West Africa.
Together, we are shaping a more resilient and data-driven future for our region.
