CEDARE and BUE Launch Environmental Monitoring Units under the CiROCCO Project

by CEDARE Team

Within the framework of the CiROCCO Project funded by EU , implemented by CEDARE – Centre for Environment & Development for the Arab Region & Europe a low-cost environmental monitoring unit, along with a high-precision unit, has been installed at the Faculty of Energy and Environmental Engineering, The British University in Egypt(BUE) to strengthen environmental monitoring efforts.

This collaboration provides accurate and continuous data on air quality and environmental factors within the campus and surrounding areas, opening new opportunities for students and researchers to conduct applied studies on climate change, air pollution, and environmental health.

It also serves as a practical training platform for science, engineering, and environmental students, enabling them to directly engage with modern sensing technologies and data analysis, enhancing their research skills and preparing them for competitiveness in the job market.

This initiative is a vivid example of the role of universities in linking scientific research with practical application, while supporting national efforts toward renewable energy and environmental sustainability.
