Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development and Environment, met with Dr Khaled Fahmy, Executive Director of CEDARE, to review the proposed vision for the development of the Blue Hole area within Abu Galum Protectorate in South Sinai. The proposed plan aims to strike a balance between conserving the area’s unique natural resources and enhancing the economic and social benefits of eco-tourism.

CEDARE, as a technical arm supporting environmental and sustainable development projects, is contributing to the preparation and review of the proposed development plans. This comes within the framework of Egypt’s commitment to the sustainable management of protected areas and environmentally significant sites of global value.
