CEDARE experts participated in the meeting of the Technical Committee on Environment of the Council of Arab Ministers Responsible for Environmental Affairs, held in Nouakchott, Mauritania, from 26 to 30 October 2025, organized by the League of Arab States.
The meeting was held as part of the preparations for the 36th Session of the Council of Arab Ministers Responsible for Environmental Affairs.
During the meeting, CEDARE experts presented the progress made in the Second Arab Environment Outlook Report, emphasizing the importance of regional cooperation and partnerships to advance collective environmental action.
CEDARE is also taking part today in the High-Level Panel titled “A Regional Vision for Coordinating and Integrating Environmental Policies for Humanity.”
The session was attended virtually by Dr. Khaled Fahmy, Executive Director of CEDARE and former Minister of Environment, Egypt, who presented the Centre’s regional vision aimed at strengthening the linkages between environmental and developmental policies in the Arab region and aligning them with international environmental agreements.
