H.E. Dr. Khaled Fahmy, Executive Director and former Minister of Environment, participated today, Sunday 8 February, alongside a distinguished group of senior regional leaders and pioneers in environmental policy, as well as representatives of the League of Arab States and Youth Loves Egypt foundation, in a workshop held at the headquarters of the League of Arab States entitled “Outcomes of COP30 – The Road to COP31.”
The workshop was organized by Youth Loves Egypt foundation in partnership with the League of Arab States, with the participation of a selected group of young leaders. It aimed to present a comprehensive strategic vision for climate change issues in the Arab region, by strengthening dialogue between youth and experts and supporting their role in advancing climate action and contributing to the development of more effective environmental policies.
The discussions also addressed several key themes, including water security strategies and resilience-building in the Arab region, pathways towards a just energy transition, and the role of environmental and climate education in achieving sustainable development, in addition to innovation in the blue economy and the presentation of innovative models and applications to support climate action efforts.
