CEDARE Joins Forces with the Green Climate Fund (GCF) to Drive Climate Action

by CEDARE Team

We are proud to announce that CEDARE has signed a Long-Term Agreement with the Green Climate Fund (GCF) Readiness and Preparatory Support Programme.

H.E. Dr. Khaled Fahmy, Executive Director of Cedare – Centre for Environment & Development for the Arab Region & Europe and former Minister of the Environment (Egypt) noted that this partnership positions CEDARE among a select group of pre-qualified Readiness Support and Project Preparation Facility (PPF) service providers, strengthening CEDARE’s role in shaping climate policy and regulations.

Through a country-driven approach, the GCF Readiness Programme ensures that climate actions align with each nation’s unique circumstances and aspirations. By providing capacity-building and technical assistance, it empowers developing countries to take decisive climate action and effectively manage their climate futures.

As the world’s largest dedicated climate fund, GCF finances transformative climate projects across the developing world, helping nations mitigate climate change, enhance resilience, and achieve sustainable development.

Through this collaboration, CEDARE is committed to driving a paradigm shift towards low-emission, climate-resilient development.

Together, we are shaping a greener, more sustainable future!
